Vivace's Opera Workshop presents scenes from "Rootabaga Country," an opera by composer and librettist Rachel J. Peters. Based on Carl Sandburg's beloved "Rootabaga Stories," the opera journeys into the American heartland with a cast of whimsical, magical characters. Follow the family of Gimme The Ax and his two children, Please Gimme and Ax Me No Questions, as they go on wild adventures, make new friends, and learn about the power of love and inclusiveness. "Rootabaga Country" is an American fairytale for all ages!
